Therapy Services

There are so many different types of psychotherapeutic help available now and this can leave people feeling quite confused about which to choose. At Worthing Counselling I offer both counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy. The links below will hopefully help to explain the differences and, if you decide you’d like to meet for an initial appointment, we can discuss the right approach for you then.

We all face times in our lives when we feel we cannot cope with life’s traumas and it can affect our day to day living. Friends can offer a certain amount of support but at times we need to turn to professional help to get through. It does not mean you are weak or selfish. In fact all your relationships will benefit from the improved you!

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is a well recognised and scientifically researched treatment for a number of psychological and emotional difficulties.

I’m trained in skills which will enable you to discover more about yourself and your patterns of behaviour, unlocking your potential and allowing you to lead a more fulfilled life.

Eating Disorders

Alison has worked within an NHS eating disorders service and helped many clients learn to regain control over their eating and lead much healthier, happier lives.

Services for Professionals

I offer training for counsellors seeking to improve their knowledge on eating disorders and how best to help.

Keeping ahead of COVID-19

Due to COVID I am currently providing my therapy services online. I will re-evaluate this as the situation changes and hope to be back to providing face-to-face therapy in spring next year if not before. Please rest assured that the therapy can be as effective when delivered remotely.
